Algorithms

Harry Dankowicz

Professor Dankowicz conducts dynamical systems research at the intersection of engineering, math and physics. This work involves studying a wide range of systems that are governed by differential equations and learning the behavior of those systems through algorithms.

Cedric Langbort

Prof. Langbort's research interests lie in the area of distributed decision and control theory and its applications to large-scale infrastructures, such as air traffic management systems and multi-vehicle cooperative missions.

Steven M. LaValle

Prof. LaValle is interested primarily in the design of planning algorithms. His focus is mainly on problems that involve continuous spaces, complicated geometric constraints, differential constraints, and/or sensing uncertainties.

N. Sri Namachchivaya

Dr. N. Sri Namachchivaya is the Director of the Nonlinear Systems Group. His research interests include nonlinear and random dynamical systems, multi-scale phenomena, dimensional reduction, and stability and bifurcations of invariant measures. His research activities have been supported by funding from NSF, ONR, AFOSR, DOE, EPRI, and industry.

R. S. Sreenivas

Professor Sreenivas's research interests lie in the area of modeling, analysis, control, and performance evaluation of discrete-state/discrete-event systems. Other interests include the use of machine learning, approximate algorithms and online algorithms for the synthesis of near-optimal policies for various problems involving discrete-state/discrete-event systems.
