Multimedia

Brian P. Bailey

Prof. Bailey's research focuses on developing and evaluating effective interactive software tools by utilizing a science-oriented, multidisciplinary process.

Pierre Moulin

Professor Moulin's research involves the development of novel methods for modeling and processing signals, images, and video, with a focus on problems of compression, restoration, and, more recently, information hiding and authentication. Applications of interest include videoconferencing, digital TV, multimedia services, and computed imaging.

Klara Nahrstedt

Professor Nahrstedt's interest in security comes from her work in multimedia systems. Due to the time constraints of multimedia systems, the security issues differ from those in more standard Internet communication. She has pioneered the area of Quality of Protection to explore the tradeoffs between multimedia performance and communication security.

Naresh R. Shanbhag

Prof. Naresh R. Shanbhag leads the VLSI Information Processing Systems (ViPS) Group at the University of Illinois, which is engaged in designing low-power and high-performance digital integrated circuits and systems for multimedia communications.

Benjamin W. Wah

One area of Professor Wah's trust research aims to develop new protocols and coding methods for concealing errors that occur during real-time transmission of multimedia data over unreliable IP networks, such as the Internet and wireless networks.
