Information Trust Institute University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

The Information Trust Institute and the Center for Systems Security and Information Assurance co-hosted the first Midwest Region Collegiate Cyber Defense Exercise at the Siebel Center for Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus on March 24-26, 2006.

The Cyber Defense Agency organized a red team of penetration testing professionals.

Eight student blue teams competed.

The Southern Illinois University team will be invited to participate in the first national Collegiate Cyber Defense Exercise, which will be hosted by the University of Texas at San Antonio in April 2006.
