03/20/2012 - 7:45am   A paper on reliable storage co-authored by ITI professor Brighten Godfrey received a Best Paper Award from the IEEE Communications Society Technical Committee on Data Storage. The work described in the paper created a new sub-area of coding theory called "regenerating codes," which can make reliable storage in data centers more efficient.
