Researchers to Improve Efficiency, Reliability of Networked Systems

03/20/2012 - 7:38am   Networked systems often are not as efficient or reliable as they could be, largely because they are informationally decentralized, comprise many nodes carrying disparate information, and are subject to constraints on energy, data storage and computational capabilities. ITI researchers and their collaborators aim to address the problem by developing a general theoretic framework and tools to help optimize these sensing systems.

ITI's Sarita Adve Named an IEEE Fellow

12/08/2011 - 12:00pm   Sarita Adve has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She was selected for her "contributions to shared memory semantics and parallel computing." Her research in computer architecture and systems, parallel computing, and power and reliability-aware systems focuses on a full-systems view and is notable for its multidisciplinary collaborations.
