The Information Trust Institute is now accepting applications for three programs that offer scholarships and internships to students working in areas related to information trust.

ITI is introducing a new Student Travel Scholarship program, sponsored by Rockwell Collins. In 2010, approximately 10 travel scholarships of up to $1,000 each will be awarded to outstanding students who are undergraduate seniors or first-year graduate students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Awards will cover travel to conferences or other events relevant to information trust. Students from all colleges across the Urbana-Champaign campus are encouraged to apply. Applications are due by the extended deadline of February 28, 2010. For more information or to access the online application form, visit the ITI student travel scholarship program website.

In 2010, ITI will offer its popular Undergraduate Summer Research Internship program for the fourth time. Students will perform 8-10 week internships on the Urbana campus, working on research under the guidance of ITI faculty members. Applicants should be undergraduate students from any university, in their second or third year, who have completed some technical course work in computing. Both domestic and international students are welcome to apply. Applications are due by the extended deadline of February 8, 2010. For more information or to access the online application form, visit the ITI intern program website.

ITI's Illinois Cyber Security Scholars Program (ICSSP) scholarships are returning for a second year. The scholarships support the last 2 years of undergraduate study in the fields of information assurance and security at Illinois. To be eligible for consideration, students must be U.S. citizens who are full-time University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign students within two years of graduation in a coherent formal program focused on computer security or information assurance. Applications are due by the extended deadline of March 31, 2010. For more information or to access the online application form, visit the ICSSP program website.
